Skateboarders hurtling down Skyline Drive at 50 mph next weekend may be headed for the Olympics. “The Port Jervis Acme DH Classic is the first U.S. sanctioned event for downhill skateboarding recognized by the U.S. Olympics committee,” said John Fletcher, USA Skateboarding event organizer. “There are two 180-degree switchback turns, one left, one right, at high speeds. People are coming from all over the country to do it. Port Jervis has become known for its hills.”
