We the People Warwick Wellbeing Activities for Teens
We the People Warwick launches a series of free introductory classes to foster well-being and self-discovery.
We the People Warwick (WTPW), a non-profit organization intending to foster community connection and well-being, has announced the launch of "Pathways to Wholeness for Teens." This program aims to guide self-discovery and provide tools to enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Meeting every Tuesday in August from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., "Pathways to Wholeness for Teens" will take place at the Vastu Health Center, located in Warwick, New York. The program, open to all local teens, provides an opportunity to explore various holistic practices designed to nurture overall wellness.
We the People Warwick has sought to understand the challenges currently faced by youth through their ongoing “Youth Engagement Questionnaire.” The information gleaned was used to develop the “Pathways to Wholeness for Teens” program to equip teens with effective coping mechanisms and self-care practices. "Pathways to Wholeness for Teens" aims to do this by offering a diverse range of free introductory classes.
The classes provided will cover a variety of skills useful for achieving inner balance and insight. Teens are invited to participate in as many of the five free sessions as they choose.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in movement-based activities such as qigong, Kai Chi Do and yoga, which involve gentle exercises traditionally used for healing. Offerings also include meditation, journaling, breathwork and other practical techniques that have been shown to help overcome anxiety, cultivate self-reflection and develop emotional resilience. Sound healing and drumming sessions can provide outlets for self-expression and stress relief.
By fostering a sense of community and providing a safe space for open discussion and learning, "Pathways to Wholeness for Teens" aims to prepare teenagers to face challenges with confidence and self-assurance.
As spaces are limited, interested teens are encouraged to sign up in advance to secure their place in each "Pathways to Wholeness for Teens" session they would like to attend. Registration and further information is available at wethepeoplewarwick.org/pathways-to-wholeness.
