Warwick Cares Announces 3rd Mental Health Awareness Celebration
Warwick. The event will be on the Warwick Railroad Green on May 10.
Warwick Cares Mental Health Initiatives announces the 3rd Annual Mental Health Awareness Month Celebration, set to take place on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the Railroad Green in Warwick, NY. (In the event of inclement weather, the date is May 17th).
May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. This family-friendly event in its 3rd year of bringing the celebration to Warwick, aims to highlight many organizations and resources available within Warwick, surrounding villages, and Orange County. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from inspiring speakers, enjoy live performances, access to essential mental health resources, civic and wellness vendors.
One of the key features of the celebration is the display of community-created messages of hope, reinforcing this year’s theme: "Healing is Possible." Organizers hope that this message will reach anyone seeking support and encouragement. Some of these signs will be available at the May 10th event to the community to display for the month.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, the community encourages everyone to "Go Green for Mental Health." Residents and businesses can show their support by displaying green ribbons on homes, storefronts, and windows throughout May. This visible act of solidarity helps to keep awareness at the forefront.
This event serves as an opportunity to connect people with the services and support networks available in their community. It is a reminder that no one is alone in their journey, help is within reach, and there is a strong network of individuals ready to assist.
Warwick Cares has led this mental health advocacy, with initiatives such as 988 Lifeline numbers and hope messages displayed throughout town, making Warwick an exemplary town in this endeavor. Warwick Cares Mental Health Initiatives, a nonprofit volunteer organization, collaborates with the Town and Villages of Warwick to provide educational presentations, training, outreach, and peer support. Community involvement is essential in making these efforts successful, and Warwick Cares welcomes volunteers and participants who wish to contribute.
For those interested in volunteering, participating in the event, or supporting year-round initiatives, Warwick Cares encourages reaching out. Community service hours are available for those looking to get involved.
