In addition to the contraband, investigators found two minor children in the house.
Both were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Randy Schmalzle and incarcerated in the Pike County Correctional Facility. Jonny Contreras’ bail was set at $500,000.00 and Dennyeil Contreras’ bail was set at $250,000.00. They will be scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Pike County Central Court. District Attorney Tonkin noted that many of the THC vapes in this case appeared to have packaging that would be attractive to children. Tonkin said, “Drugs have no place in our community, and we will continuously work to investigate and prosecute drug dealers to help keep our community and children safe from the harms that these drug houses cause to the communities they operate in.” Tonkin thanked the Dingman Township Volunteer Fire Department for their assistance in opening a locked safe in the residence that led to the recovery of some of the drugs seized.
