Port Jervis Warming Station Opens Monday, Needs Volunteers
Nights have gotten cold, and the Port Jervis Warming Station, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will open on Monday, November 15, said warming station organizer Jack Austin. Doors open at 9:00 pm, and guests depart at 7:00 a.m.
“Covid protocols need to be followed.” he said. “A warm meal is served upon arrival, and a shower is also available for bathing. Volunteers are especially needed to serve overnight, to maintain a quiet and safe atmosphere.”
