Port Jervis Second Ward Common Council Candidate Keith Yennie, Democrat
1. What circumstance prompted your interest in running for a seat on the
Common Council? Please be specific.
There is not one circumstance that can explain that, but the people I am around and have talked to would change different things that could make a difference in this city and I believe that I can voice their concerns and positives and try to make a change if needed!
2. What experience and/or education prepares you for the position?
College was an option, but I became a teen dad so I only have life experience, but have dealt with many, many people from all over and I feel that I can understand and communicate with the citizens we will represent and make sure they know this team will work with them.
3. What would you like to change in Port Jervis if elected? Why? How
would you go about it? Please be specific.
4. What would you like to accomplish if elected? How would you go about it?
After reading the questions, I found 3 and 4 blended together, everywhere has problems and issues, it's a given, but there is nowhere that can make everyone happy. I believe if elected that I would do whatever I could do to take care of the seniors, the children of our future and the ones that have made it possible for them, the Veterans! Port Jervis will move forward and I look forward to being part of that team that will represent the city and our residents.
