Pike D.A. Launches Website for Crime and Safety Info and Tips
Crimewatch was initiated by Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin to let residents know about crimes and provide a place to offer tips.
Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced that the District Attorney’s Office has joined other county law enforcement agencies to launch Crimewatch in Pike County.
This new website offers direct access to crime and public safety-related information. The Pike County District Attorney’s Office has recently launched this new online platform aimed at enhancing community engagement and combating crime. Developed in partnership with CRIMEWATCH Technologies, this innovative website is part of the CRIMEWATCH Network, granting the public direct access to timely crime and public safety related information in their local area. The District Attorney’s new website is a step forward in providing valuable information to the community, as well as empowering citizens to help prevent crime. People can easily report crimes, submit tips, and find information about recent incidents. Additionally, the website offers features such as crime alerts and community events.
According to District Attorney Tonkin, "Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for people to stay informed and to play an active role in preventing crime in our area. We believe this website will help achieve that goal." In particular, Tonkin believes it will be a giant step forward in combatting online child exploitation and drug trafficking in the county by enabling citizens to submit tips directly to his office.
The new website was developed in partnership with CRIMEWATCH Technologies, a company that specializes in creating innovative tools for law enforcement agencies. CRIMEWATCH Technologies has already partnered with nearly 300 law enforcement agencies across the United States to provide public safety resources to communities.
