Music Among Animals with Flute, Cello, Piano and Voice
"Music in the Barn" will be at Tamerlaine Farm Animal Sancutary on May 19.
The Port Jervis Consort, an ensemble of voices, flute, cello and piano, will present "Music in the Barn" at the Tamerlaine Sanctuary and Preserve, 141 Clove Road in Montague, NJ, on Sunday, May 19 at 4:30 PM. The Sanctuary, home to over 200 rescued farm animals of all types, will give tours of the bucolic grounds between 2 and 4 PM. The concert (yes, it will be in a real barn) will present music about animals, from Madrigals to McCartney/Lennon to "Old McDonald Had a Farm" in Latin. Be prepared for audience participation (this could be your only chance to sing about Pigs). The event is sponsored by Port Jervis Arts (845-858-9895) and the Tamerlaine Sanctuary and Preserve (917-697-4513). There is no admission charge, but donations supporting both organizations will be gratefully accepted.
