Port Jervis. The Presby Players Community Theater wil deliver their annual musical production celebrating love, “My Funny Valentine” on Feb. 16 and 17, and Musical Director Sandy Stalter says, “I’m really excited about this production. My favorite songs to sing are always tunes with a strong element of humor.”
Since comedy can be more difficult to pull off, Stalter says she and Artistic Director Jeffrey Stocker thought this would be a great learning opportunity. “It will help some of our performers develop the sense of timing that is so important in comedy,” she explained. Stocker agreed and added, “This is the first time we are actually doing just comedy in music. It’ll be an uplifting and inspirational Valentine’s Day – no sad ballads!”
