Letter from Florida Mayor Dan Harter: What's Happened and Coming Up

Hello Florida! 

We’re excited to announce that the Village of Florida Union Free School District’s first day back to school for students in grades K-12 will be on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Wishing all students and staff an amazing year ahead! Remember to drive carefully as everyone settles back into the school routine. 

Mark your calendars for our Village Wide Garage Sale on October 19th and 20th, rain or shine! Also, don’t forget about the Village Bulk Clean Up scheduled for October 21, 2024. For more details, please check out your water sewer bill insert.

As summer comes to a close, I’d like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for hosting and sponsoring the summer concert series. We look forward to next season! 

A big thank you to our Recreation program directors and counselors for another successful year. Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated! Best wishes to everyone for a wonderful school year and an enjoyable end to the summer! 

Lastly, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Fun Fest Committee for their hard work and dedication in organizing another fantastic event. Your efforts have truly made a difference, and we appreciate all that you do to bring joy and excitement to our community. Here’s to many more successful celebrations in the future!
