Inside the Box at Lincoln's Assassination
A theater production at The Columns Museum in Milford will recreate the events in the theater box where Mary Todd Lincoln observed the assassination of her husband, Abraham Lincoln.

A live performance of Thinking Inside the Box, at the Columns Museum on April 16, will feature Patricia Durante with a dialogue that spotlights goings on in the Presidential Box at Ford’s Theater on the evening of April 14, 1865, the night Lincoln was shot.
The play features the eye witness accounts of Laura Keene, Mary Todd Lincoln and Clara Harris, the three women “inside the box” on that night.
The play will take place in the Foundation Room of The Columns Museum, located at 606 Broad Street, Milford, PA, beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 16. The performance will be followed by a reception and viewing of the Lincoln Flag on the main floor of the museum.
Patricia Durante has been a professional actress, director and singer for over 25 years. She is a graduate of The American Music and Drama Academy in New York and has performed in musicals and plays as well as radio and television commercials. She is the recipient of two New Jersey Tony Awards for Best Leading Actress in a Musical and Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role from the Wisconsin Arts Council.
