Haunts and Hot Chocolate
People have heard from past Port Jervis residents who have passed on, and this is the season to listen to them, according to Renee Meola, “director of happiness” at Foundry 42. Their building and other Front St. buildings have ghost inhabitants, and on Saturday Foundry 42 will host a tour led by Cherish Galvin-Bliefernich, a Montessori school teacher by day.
“We’ll go down one side of Front St. and come back on the other side,” said Meola. “These are very old buildings, some with history going back to 1690. Settlements were built over places where skirmishes between Minutemen and Native Americans resulted in violent deaths.”
The tour will last 90 minutes and then return to Foundry 42 for hot chocolate.
October 30th, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (Click for tickets) or call the store at 845-858-4942 or email Renee@F42home.com.
