Decide to Ride Offered Among Safe Driving Options
Police will be watching for DUI, says District Attorney David Hoovler. Dana Distributors provided some establishments with QR codes for free rides.
Law enforcement will have targeted enforcement on area roadways to identify and stop impaired drivers, said Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler .
“Impaired or intoxicated driving results in preventable and terrible outcomes, including arrest and prosecution, let alone injury or death to other motorists or pedestrians. Do your part and arrange for safe transportation home and do not get behind the wheel of a car after you have been drinking. It’s never been easier with programs such as Dana Distributors’ Decide to Ride Campaign which offers cab rides and Uber vouchers to ensure everyone gets home safe.”
Dana Distributors has provided participating establishments with a QR code for patrons to scan that will give them credit for an Uber or Lyft ride if they cannot drive home.
