Coffee With a Cop on May 21
Warwick, NY. Warwick Police Department will offer a convivial occasion with a police officer at Café e Dolci.
Enjoy free coffee and have a conversation with your local police officer at “Coffee with a Cop.” On Tuesday, May 21, the Town of Warwick Police Department is hosting the event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Café e Dolci, located at 31 Main Street in Warwick.
Coffee with a Cop brings police officers and the community members they serve together to discuss issues and learn more about each other. This is an opportunity for residents to talk with police officers in a casual, comfortable setting, provided by the inviting atmosphere at Café e Dolci.
“We thank the owners of Café e Dolci for allowing us the opportunity to have our event at their café. This event is a great way to support small, local businesses and is an opportunity for us to meet with residents,” said Chief John Rader.
Coffee with a Cop first launched in Hawthorne, CA in 2011 when officers from the Hawthorne PD were looking for ways to interact more successfully with residents. The key to the event’s growing success is that it opens the door for interactions outside of the crisis type of situations that typically bring law enforcement officers and community members together.
True to the event’s motto - “building relationships, one cup at a time,” the Warwick PD is looking forward to meeting with everyone on Tues., May 21.
